Corrina is a well known versatile Percussionist with a massive amount of playing experience. She adapts and fits comfortably in a wide range of music situations and styles. A great team player, she shines with enthusiasm, is inspiring and encouraging to her colleagues and students. Highly skilled, her career aspiration leans towards continuing recording percussion for film, tv and song composers with either reading, writing or improvising the music depending on what’s required. She inspires and motivates all of her students along their individual musical journey, getting them to think for themselves and most of all enjoy exploring music of all kinds.

In London’s West End theatre she currently performs as principal percussionist on TINA, The Tina Turner Musical (Aldwych Theatre). Her extensive work in theatre has also held her percussion chairs on the following West End theatre hit productions: 42nd StreetCharlie and the Chocolate Factory, Sister Act, Monty Python’s Spamalot, Mel Brook’s The Producers, Anything Goes, The Full Monty and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Beautiful Game. At the National TheatreCyrano de Bergerac, Luther, The Villains Opera. Twelfth Night (Royal Shakespeare Company) both in Stratford and the West End. Along with productions We the People, King Lear, Much Ado About Nothing and Mysteries at Shakespeare’s Globe as part of the band both onstage and off, and performed The Thief of Baghdad at the Linbury Studio, Royal Opera House where she played drumset and percussion.

As a versatile percussionist she has played in the Percussion sections for blockbuster film and sound track sessions at Abbey Road, Air Lyndhurst Recording and Angel Studios including: War HammerIsle of Dogs (Wes Anderson), Beauty and the Beast, Born in China, Breaking Dawn: Part 2 Twilight Sagas, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, Les Miserables 2012, In the Heart of the Sea, How to Train Your Dragon 2, Hamlet BBC TV, Zozo, Luther BBC TV, From Russia with Love (Play Station 2)Peter Pan (stage spectacular soundtrack played on European Tours). Kung Fu Panda (Disney Park). She has recorded percussion on a number of albums including Isle of Wonder (Music for the London 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony), Live at the Blues West 14 (Mo Foster Band), Finding My Way Home (Yazz Ahmed), 42nd Street (London Cast Album 2017), The Fetch (Linda Hoyle), Anything Goes (London Cast Album 2003), Sister Act (London Cast Album), Charlie & the Chocolate Factory (London Cast Album) and also including drumset and multiple percussion instruments on award winning La Saboteuse (Yazz Ahmed and her Family Hafla Band), and percussion on Polyhymnia (Yazz Ahmed).

On television she played the cups with the Mahatma Skiffle Orchestra for Zingzilla’s BBC TV episode Washing up, played hand drums on the production Crocodile (Sky Arts TV Live at Riverside Studios, Hammersmith) and a live performance of Something’s Coming with Downton Abbey’s Julian Ovendon (The Elaine Paige Show, Sky Arts TV).

Back in 2001, Corrina was invited to join film and stage actor Joseph Fiennes together with director and producer David Gothard on a three week journey to Tibet. Here she explored music, language and communication through performing improvised percussion with excerpts from Shakespeare’s Hamlet; a hugely memorable life and travel experience.

Corrina played percussion in the orchestra live on television with Ariana Grande, Live at the BBC (BBC TV Centre, White City), for film composer Hans Zimmer live concerts Hans Zimmer Revealed (Hammersmith Apollo, London). She also played in the band for the Pythons’ reunion show run Monty Python Live at the O2 London (with recorded DVD performance), for the televised Olivier Theatre Awards 2015 (Royal Opera House) and has been on tour in the UK and at Sadler’s Wells Theatre, London with contemporary dance company Rambert performing Anatomica3 and A Linha Curva. Cinderella, Romeo & Juliet, Swan Lake with English National Ballet. Other orchestral performances include playing drumset on Over the Stone (English Chamber Orchestra, composer Carl Jenkins). Frame drums for Hofesh Shecter’s Untouchable and with the on stage band playing Bongo for Carmen (Carlos Acosta, also televised) both at the Royal Opera House.

Corrina was a Drum Captain for the London 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony performing Pandemonium live on stage at the Olympic Stadium. She recorded percussion on the official soundtrack for the games, including And I will Kiss, Caliban’s Dream (both with Underworld) and Pandemonium. 

She has played all sorts of percussion instruments regularly with Yazz Ahmed’s Family Hafla Band who have performed at venues the Berlin Jazz Festival, Blue Note Jazz Festival Paris, a mini tour in Bahrain, at the Purcell Room (South Bank London), Vortex Jazz Club (London), Pori Jazz Festival (Finland) and a tour to Chicago USA and Toronto, Canada. 

Corrina has given rhythm masterclasses to the students on both the Jazz and Orchestral music degree courses at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance (London) and has covered percussion classes at The Royal Academy of Music (London).
