Corrina is well known as a versatile Percussionist. With a great deal of playing experience she adapts and fits comfortably to a wide range of music situations and styles.
As Principal Percussion in London’s West End theatre she currently performs on TINA, The Tina Turner Musical (Aldwych Theatre). She has also performed as Principal in the West End on 42nd Street, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Sister Act, Monty Python’s Spamalot, Mel Brook’s The Producers, Anything Goes, The Full Monty and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Beautiful Game. At the National Theatre: Cyrano de Bergerac, Luther, The Villains Opera. Twelfth Night (Royal Shakespeare Company) both in Stratford and the West End. We the People, King Lear, Much Ado About Nothing, Mysteries at Shakespeare’s Globe as part of the band both onstage and off. And played Drumset and Percussion for the production The Thief of Baghdad at the Linbury Studio, Royal Opera House.
Corrina has recorded in Percussion sections for films Isle of Dogs (Wes Anderson film), Beauty and the Beast, Born in China, Breaking Dawn: Part 2 (Twilight Sagas), The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, Les Miserables (2012), In the Heart of the Sea, How to Train Your Dragon 2, Hamlet (BBC), Zozo, Luther (BBC drama series), From Russia with Love (Play Station 2), Peter Pan (stage spectacular soundtrack played on European Tours). Kung Fu Panda (Disney Park soundtrack).
On television she played the cups with the Mahatma Skiffle Orchestra for Zingzilla’s BBC episode Washing up, played hand drums on Crocodile (Sky Arts TV Live at Riverside Studios, Hammersmith) and a performance of Something’s Coming with Downton Abbey’s Julian Ovendon (The Elaine Paige Show, Sky Arts TV).
She has recorded percussion on a number of albums including Isle of Wonder (Music for the London 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony), Live at the Blues West 14 (Mo Foster Band), Finding My Way Home (Yazz Ahmed), 42nd Street (Cast Album 2017), The Fetch (Linda Hoyle), Anything Goes (Cast Album 2003), Sister Act (Cast Album), Charlie & the Chocolate Factory (Cast Album) and also including drumset and multiple percussion instruments on La Saboteuse (Yazz Ahmed Family Hafla Band).
In 2001 Corrina was invited to join actor Joseph Fiennes together with director and producer David Gothard on a wonderful journey to and in Tibet. Travelling for three weeks exploring music and language through performing excerpts from Shakespeare’s Hamlet.
Corrina played percussion in the orchestra with Ariana Grande Live at the BBC, for Hans Zimmer’s concerts Hans Zimmer Revealed live at the Hammersmith Apollo, London. Played in the band for the Python’s reunion shows Monty Python Live at the O2, London and for the televised Olivier Awards 2015, Royal Opera House. Other orchestral performances include playing drumset on Over the Stone (Karl Jenkins) with the English Chamber Orchestra, and percussion on A Linha Curva and Anatomica3 with Rambert Dance Company. Cinderella, Romeo & Juliet, Swan Lake with English National Ballet and frame drums for Hofesh Shecter’s Untouchable at the Royal Opera House and with the on stage band for Carmen (Carlos Acosta) televised at the Royal Opera House.
Corrina was a Drum Captain for the London 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony performing Pandemonium live on stage at the stadium. She recorded percussion on the official soundtrack for the games, including And I will Kiss and Caliban’s Dream (Underworld) and Pandemonium.
Playing percussion regularly with Yazz Ahmed’s Family Hafla Band, they have performed at the Berlin Jazz Festival, Blue Note Jazz Festival in Paris, a trip to Bahrain, Purcell Room (South Bank), Vortex Jazz Club, Pori Jazz Festival, Chicago and Toronto. She played drumset along with percussion on some of the tunes.
Corrina has taken rhythm masterclasses on both the Jazz and Orchestral course at Trinity Laban, London. And covered percussion classes at The royal academy of music.
